The Office of Financial Management (OFM) is upgrading the current Budget Execution Module in UFMS. As part of this upgrade, OFM is designing and development a new web-based front end for the Oracle Budget Execution Module. These forms will apply the latest Oracle technology and financial management procedures to improve the Division of Budget Execution and Control’s (DBEC’s) ability to monitor and track funds. They will allow for the allocation of funds, the monitoring and tracking of Continuing Resolutions, and provide accounting data for all transactions, reporting, and transfers. The enhancement will be implemented in a phased approach.Phase I provides the DBEC Budget Analysts a user-friendly form to enter Budget Resources, Apportionments, Allotments, and Allowances. Phase II automates the current DBEC budget procedures for allocating and moving resources.Completion of the implementation of Phase II of the Budget Execution Module upgrade will allow the FDA to improve the management of financial resources. Instead of processing the movement and allocation of funds manually, this new process allows the movement of these funds through an automated process with minimal manual entry on the front end. This new process will improve the timeliness of moving and allocating budget resources by the Office of Financial Management’s Division of Budget Execution and Control (DBEC).
