Cosmetic Monitoring and Awareness
Description: Develop data and tools to increase consumer awareness of adverse event reporting for cosmetics. These tools will improve FDA's monitoring of cosmetic safety.
Accomplishment: The Cosmetic Monitoring and Awareness Project consisted of the development of data and tools to increase consumer awareness of adverse event reporting for cosmetics. Project accomplishments include a Consumer Update, video, and FDA Basics webinar; survey questions to measure consumer awareness; and distribution of printed materials at four public health conferences. These tools will improve FDA's monitoring of cosmetic safety.
