FSMA Knowledge Portal

Description: Create and maintain a knowledge portal to promote awareness of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and its 50 regulations/guidances to drive industry compliance and improve public health. The portal will provide stakeholders (consumers, industry, food safety professionals, Federal/State/local regulators, and international trading partners) information on what the FSMA is, who it impacts, how it’s being implemented, and the opportunities for stakeholders to be involved.

Accomplishment: The FSMA Web Page Project created a knowledge portal to promote awareness of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and its 50 regulations/guidance to drive industry compliance and improve public health. The web page provides stakeholders (consumers, industry, food safety professionals, Federal/State/local regulators, and international trading partners) information on what the FSMA is, who it impacts, how it’s being implemented, and the opportunities for stakeholders to be involved. The web page has attracted over 10,600 subscribers and over 100 FAQs covering 12 topic areas that are available on the web page.
