Workforce Initiative Planning Strategies Project – Attrition Projection Models

Description: Develop Attrition Projection Models to allow CVM to identify areas of risk regarding different types of attrition (e.g., retirements, voluntary resignations). This project assures CVM has proposed strategies and interventions for addressing attrition.

Accomplishment: CVM completed Attrition Projection Models for three (3) MCOs: Veterinary Medical Officer, Consumer Safety Officer and Chemist. Attrition data tables and trend charts presented CVM Leadership with experienced and projected attrition data, highlighting potential areas for improvement. The Attrition Projection Model allows the Center to successfully apply valid statistical formulas to CVM's workforce data to anticipate areas of attrition risk. The Center is also utilizing the models to outline the allocation of resources across the Center's organizational components, enabling Center hiring managers to create MCO staffing plans across CVM.
