MCMi Public Regulatory Science Symposium
Description: In support of FDA's transparency efforts, at the MCMi Public Regulatory Science Symposium, FDA will demonstrate the variety of regulatory science research projects that are underway at the Agency in support of medical countermeasure development and evaluation. FDA staff will make presentations on selected projects along with an extensive poster session. Many of the research projects at the Symposium received funding support through the MCMi during FY 2011. FDA staff will be available to respond to public questions and comments.
Accomplishment: FDA convened its first 2-day MCMi Regulatory Science Symposium in FY 2012 to showcase MCM regulatory science under way at FDA and by external partners. The symposium featured over 30 lectures and 90 posters. Participants and attendants spanned local, national and international government agencies, academia, industry and non-profits. Over 300 persons attended in person and many more attended by webcast.
