Enhance an incident preparedness, response and recovery program for foods and feed to protect the public health
Accomplishment: The Incident Preparedness and Response Core Group identified and recommended elements to consider in an optimal incident preparedness and response program and the elements needed for design success. The recommendations were submitted to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) The ELT, at the discretion of the Commissioner, is creating an Outbreak Response Team to enhance outbreak preparedness, response and investigation. The ELT has directed the Outbreak Response Team to consider a model Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with states based on the recommendations from the Incident Preparedness and Response Core Group.
