eDepart Implementation

Description: The eDepart project will culminate in the first version of a new IT application designed to facilitate the departure and transfer processes of employees and non-employees. Expected outcomes include improved coordination between physical and network security, accountable property control, financial controls, Ethics, OIP (for return of official passports and visas) and other administrative coordination (including close out appraisals, records retention, employee exit surveys, etc.)

  • (1) Version 1.0 will initiate the eDepart webpage via Inside.FDA, notify appropriate stakeholders of departing employees/non-employees (Ethics, OSO, OFS, Travel Card, ERIC IT, Contracts, Library, Purchase Cards, etc.), and establish administrative processes (documented workflow/checklist, notifications, identify specific stakeholders in each Center, collect accountable property numbers).
  • (2) Training for employees, supervisors and responsible program areas will be completed as part of the eDepart project.
