Cumulative percentage of Center employees who participated in training year-to-date (1)
Cumulative FY 2012 Target: 80% of employees to participate in training by 9/30/2012
Dictionary: CBER management strives to improve the skill set for its employees (including staff and supervisory) who are encouraged to develop and maintain their knowledge, skills, and abilities for performing their mission-critical work. The tracking of employees’ training (required by 5 CFR 410, “Training”) by office will enable CBER management to ascertain employee participation in training and to develop strategies to ensure that continuing education of employees builds the capacity to meet current and future needs. Further, a skilled workforce improves CBER’s ability to address the many challenges presented by the range of products and increases the Center’s effectiveness in protecting public health.
