About FDA
Number of new inquires received in the month
Dictionary: In this measure, the Office of Compliance (OC) is tracking interactions with its stakeholders: regulated firms, trade groups, interest groups, and individual consumers. Congressional and press inquiries also are part of our workload but are tracked by other offices in CDER. Industry and consumer inquiries come into OC through public email addresses, phone calls, and occasionally by letter. Inquiries are answered by OC's staff and analyzed for patterns that may indicate the need for outreach activities or development of guidance.
This measure has been retired as CDER has created new measures for FY13 which align to their four functional areas of 1) Regulatory Review and Drug Safety, 2) Drug Quality and Compliance, 3) Transparency and Public Outreach, and 4) Regulatory Science Research.
