About FDA
Number of Office of Science and Engineering Laboratories (OSEL) -generated research papers about medical device related issues published during the month
Dictionary: OSEL conducts laboratory and field research in the areas of physical, life, and engineering sciences as related to the effects of medical devices on human health. To share its findings with the general public, improve awareness, inspire new work, and contribute to the general body of literature, OSEL submits relevant work to peer-reviewed journals for professional publication. Journals are the preferred vehicle used by researchers, engineers, and scientists to showcase their work and contribute to developing branches of science. Since many of these academic/professional journals are peer-reviewed, journal publication is the best assertion of quality research. A list of publications is posted annually on fda.gov.
