Dictionary: This measure captures improved participation in the Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP). The VCRP is the only source of information on cosmetic products and establishments currently available to FDA. Because the program is voluntary, FDA is always working to promote participation. The more information FDA has about manufacturing facilities and the products currently on the market, the better FDA can work to assure that cosmetics are safe.
