About FDA
Percentage of documents reviewed within expected timeframe during the quarter
Dictionary: This measure is aimed at increasing stakeholder (foreign and domestic; governmental and non-governmental) understanding of how FDA regulates foods derived from bioengineered crops. A greater stakeholder understanding of our policy will support increased consumer confidence in the safety of the food supply, particularly as it relates to foods derived from bioengineered crops. This program measure is also intended to ensure that FDA’s policy is described correctly and that any issues raised do not negatively impact FDA's program on foods derived from bioengineered crops. The desired trend is an increased percentage of documents reviewed within the expected timeframe.
