The percentage of vendor payments processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Dictionary: The Department of Treasury has mandated that at least 96% of payments must be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (see press release below). Treasury has documented in 2010 that further increased use of EFT payments could save the Government 400 million dollars and 12 million pounds of paper in the next 5 years. In addition, EFT payments are much more secure than paper checks.
