Number of OE-recommended and posted health fraud internet site warning letters

Dictionary: The Office of Enforcement’s (OE) Health Fraud team is responsible for identifying firms engaging in internet health fraud and recommending Warning Letters. Warning Letter recommendations are sent to the Center for approval and then posted on FDA.gov. OE's Health Fraud team has been responsible for initiating approximately 15% of all Warning letters issued by FDA each year. We will measure the volume and success of OE’s health fraud surveillance work by the number of recommended warning letters and the resulting enforcement action.
