Dictionary: The Office of Regional Operations (ORO) and the Centers within FDA agree on a list of foreign firms manufacturing food, drugs, and devices imported into the United States to be inspected within the year. The following criteria are used to determine if a foreign firm warrants an inspection: the type of product that the firm manufactures, whether the firm is in a high risk category, and the previous inspection history.
