Number of domestic inspections in the quarter resulting in a category of classifications called OTHER

Dictionary: Inspections are classified as "OTHER" when one of the following four situations occur: 1. Referred to State for Follow-Up: the findings of the inspection were such that there is no federal jurisdiction over the apparent violation in question or it is determined that State action is the most efficient method of obtaining the establishment’s compliance with Federal laws, regulations or administrative requirements. 2. Referred to Center: the Establishment Inspection Report has been referred to the appropriate Center for a final decision. 3. In Progress: the inspection has been completed but the investigator has not yet reported [into the database] what district decision will be recommended. 4. Awaiting Endorsement: the investigator’s recommendation regarding the district decision has not yet been endorsed (reviewed and approved) by the investigator’s supervisor.
