Dictionary: FDA has developed the Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards (Program Standards) to achieve national uniformity among regulatory programs responsible for retail food protection in the United States. The Program Standards are designed to help retail food regulatory programs enhance the services they provide to the public and provide a means of recognition for those programs that meet these standards. This program measure assesses progress and improvement of State programs enrolled in the program.
