As an emulsifier and/or surface-active agent in (1) the emulsion polymerization of polyvinyl acetate, acrylic, and vinyl/acrylic polymers intended for use in coatings for paper and paperboard; and (2) the emulsion polymerization of polymers used in adhesive formulations complying with 21 CFR 175.105(a)(2).

| Limitations/Specifications: |
In both types of applications, the FCS will be used at levels up to 5 percent by weight of total monomers. Finished adhesives or coatings containing the FCS will be used in contact with all food types under all temperature conditions of use.
