Food Contact Substance:  1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (DBDMH; CAS Reg. No. 77-48-5).

Intended Use:  As an antimicrobial in water applied to poultry via an Inside-Outside Bird Washer (IOBW) and in water used for Off-Line Reprocessing (OLR) of poultry.
 
Effective Date:  11/14/2003
 
Limitations/Specifications:  The FCS will be used at a level not to exceed that needed to provide the equivalent of 100 parts per million (ppm) of available bromine in the IOBW and OLR water.
