For use only as a surfactant at a level not to exceed 1 percent by weight of solids in latex formulations used in pigment binders for paper and paperboard used in contact with food of Types I, II, IVB, VI (beverages below 15% alcohol by volume), VIIB, and VIII only, as described in Table 1. The polyethylene glycol mono-isotridecyl ether sulfate, sodium salt, solids may contain up to 15 weight percent of polyethylene glycol mono-isotridecyl ether (CAS Reg. No. 69011-36-5). The paper and paperboard containing this food contact substance must comply with the extractives limitations prescribed in 21 CFR 176.170(c).
