Food Contact Substance:  2-Propenoic acid, sodium salt, homopolymer (CAS Reg. No. 9003-04-7).

Intended Use:  As a mineral pigment dispersant in the coating of paper to be used in food-contact materials.

Limitations/Specifications:  The FCS is to be used as a grinding aid or dispersant for minerals in paper coating (pigment) at levels up to 1.25% by weight based on pigment during the manufacturing of uncoated and mineral coated food-contact paper and paperboard. The paper and paperboard will be in contact with aqueous, acidic and fatty food types (I, 11,111, IVA, IVB, V, VIB, VIIA, VIIB, VIII, IX) under Conditions of Use C through G as described in Tables 1 and 2.
