Authors:  Jingbo Z, Guanghong W, Yong M, Xinglian X

Drug:  Enrofloxacin

Fish species:  Crab, Chinese mitten-handed

Date:  2008

t1/2-hr:  240

Sample:  hepatopancreas

Ave Weight (gm):  91

Ave Water temp (°C):  17

Water:  Freshwater

Dosage:  3 mg/kg

Route:  IM

Comments:  T1/2 alpha=1.8. AUC=2149. Intramuscular administrated enrofloxacin (ENR) in muscle absorbed and eliminated faster than bath treatment and oral administration. ENR levels in hepatopancreas and muscle following IM injection were higher than those following PO administration. The metabolite ciprofloxacin (CIP) was much higher in hepatopancreas than muscle. CIP rose through the last sampling time (168h) which was at a level of 2.35 ug/g.
