Sharks given injection and vertebrae and dorsal fin spines were examined for OTC marks. Marks were seen in spines by 2 days post injection, and in sectioned vertebrae by 3 days. Visible marks without sectioning were only found after 30d and best seen after 180d. Elasmobranch skeletal "bone" is cartilage.
