The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) will provide to their members a computerized printout of the continuing education credits earned by ASRT-member technologists. Is this type of documentation acceptable for MQSA requirements?

Yes. The FDA confirmed with the ASRT that they enter credits into an individual’s record only if the provider of the training reports to the ASRT that the training was completed or if the radiologic technologist provides documentation from the provider (e.g., a course certificate) that the training was received. Thus, all of the information in the printout comes, directly or indirectly, from the training provider, not the radiologic technologist. Therefore, FDA will accept the ASRT printout as adequate documentation of continuing education units for MQSA requirements.
