Trimethoprim
Fish species:
Trout, rainbow
Date:
1980
Sample:

Ave Weight (gm):

Ave Water temp (°C):

Water:
Saltwater
Dosage:
75 mg/l 5-48 hr sd
Route:

Comments:
Fish not adapted to salt water before study. Plasma concentration reached 1u/ml after 24-48 h. Higher absorption attributed to the addition of ingested medicated water to that absorbed in the gills. Saltwater adapted fish had highest levels of drug, followed by those not adapted, and least in freshwater dosed fish.
