Water supplemented with 60 mg/L sea salt and 200 uM CaCl2. Dose was fed via accumulation in amphipods. Fed zinc in MLTP from aphipod measured at 775 ng Zn/g. Bi-phasic depuration of zinc with rapid loss of ingested radioactivity for the first 12h and little further loss between 24h and 72h. Assimilation efficiency 24h post-dose=39.0% significantly different from from MRG+exo fed fish. Zn concentration intestinal tract=4.40 ng Zn/g. MTLP intestinal lipid peroxidation in the form of melondialdehyde (MDA)=1.17 nmol MDA/mg protein was not significantly different from the MRG+exo fed fish or control fish.
