Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of an incisional hernia.It was reported that after the implant, the patient experienced mesh erosion, adhesions, recurrence, loss of domain, abscess, balled up mesh, infection, ulcerated pannus, cholecystitis, defect through full thickness of the bowel wall, pain, and scarring.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery, small bowel resection, removal of mesh, wound vac, drainage of abscess, cholecystectomy, cholangiogram, panniculectomy, removal of mesh and suture material, and hernia repair with new mesh.
