A steris service technician arrived onsite to inspect the sterilizer and found that the unit had alarmed "water in chamber" and observed water in the chamber.During his inspection, the technician found that the ck3 check valve required replacement. As the ck3 check valve remained open, this allowed excess water to enter and leak from the chamber resulting in the reported event. The century sterilizer operator manual states the following instructions if a "water in chamber" alarm occurs (8-12), "1.Do not open door 2.Silence alarm.3.Call service immediately." the technician replaced the ck3 check valve, tested the unit, confirmed it to be operating according to specifications, and returned it to service. No additional issues have been reported.
