Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient receiving unknown drug via an implanted infusion pump.It was reported the patient gets their pump refilled every 17 days and most of the time their pump was flipped.The doctor flips it back to where they can give the medications.The p.A.Flipped the pump when it was in the correct position and the doctor ran in and re-flipped it to where it belongs.

Event Description
On 2020-july-27, additional information was received from the patient.The cause of the pump flipping has not been determined.The actions taken to resolve the flipping pump were requested.The patient stated, "nothing except flipping it back where the doctor flipped it so he could give the meds.The p.A.Flipped it at one of my appointments, it didn't need to be flipped, doctors stormed in and flipped it back to correct position.The patient's weight was requested and they stated, "since the pump was flipped many, many times - my weight varied from (b)(6).
 
Event Description
On 2020-july-21, additional information was received from the patient.The patient mentioned that their pump flipped and they did not know about a belt they were supposed to wear post-op and they were told by another healthcare professional (hcp) that they did not need to use the belt.

Event Description
Additional information was received from the patient who reported, ¿i have to go to surgery because my pump is flipping all the time since implant¿.Per the patient, her pain management doctor sent a referral to the surgeon.The patient was calling because she was wondering if they would give her the same amount of medication that she was currently on or if they would have to start all over again.The patient was redirected to her healthcare provider to discuss.

When asked the dose of concentration of the dilaudid in her pump, the patient stated, ¿right now it¿s about 7-8 grams".

Additional information received from a healthcare provider (hcp) via company representative (rep) reported that the patient was scheduled for pocket revision (b)(6) 2021-no.Of note, the pump flipping has been uncomfortable for the patient.The reported medication in the pump were dilaudid (20 mg/ml at 7.997 mg/day), clonidine (250 mcg/ml at 99.97 mcg/day), and bupivacaine (0.9 mg/ml at 0.35988 mg/day).

Event Description
Additional information was received from the patient.The patient mentioned that "sometime late in 2019" and when they went into do the surgery it was determined the tubing was twisted.****see 704606777 (pump went empty) for omitted information****.Additional information was received from the rep.The rep stated the hcp revised the patient's pump pocket, re-securing the pump in place with suture.During the scheduled pocket revision, the pump segment of the catheter was found to be tangled in the pocket.Hcp was able to aspirate 2cc from the cap.Hcp detached the pump segment from the pump, untangled it, and reattached it.Hcp was again successfully aspirated from the cap after reattaching.Hcp mentioned a piece of the plastic near the pump connector appeared damaged but believed it to be external as no leaks were observed.Hcp did not want to revise, replace, or shorten any part of the catheter.All pump settings/dosing remain unchanged.The issue was resolved at the time of the event.
