Event Description
It was reported that before the case, when the handpiece test was ran, the t1 max torque was low (16) and the test was not completing properly.The t1 iterations kept saying 0/10 even after the third attempt at the test.The same handpiece was still usable, so it was used to continue with the case without delays.There could be an issue with the motor.No other complications were reported.

H6: the navio handpiece part number 110137, sn (b)(6) used for treatment was returned for evaluation.A relationship between the reported event and the device was confirmed.Nothing was identified visually that contributed to the reported problem.A functional evaluation was performed.The reported problem was confirmed.The test reported a t1 max torque of 18 and a t2 iteration value of 0/10 without completing the entire test.A review of manufacturing and service records indicate the device met all specifications upon release into distribution.A complaint history review for similar reported/confirmed complaints has identified prior events.The most likely cause of this event is a communication problem.Although no further containment or corrective action is recommended or required at this time, all complaints are monitored and trended through post market surveillance activities.
