It was reported that the screw driver tip broke inside the arcos cone body stem and they were unable to separate them apart.There was no patient harm or delay.Attempts have been made and additional information on the reported event is unavailable at this time.

This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information.Complaint sample was evaluated and the reported event was confirmed.One arcos 3.5mm hex drive and one arcos con sz a std 60mm trl were returned and evaluated.Upon visual inspection the driver had fractured with the fractured tip remaining inside of the taper body.There are wear lines on the shaft of the driver from us.A review of the device history records identified no deviations or anomalies during manufacturing.A definitive root cause cannot be determined.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
