Event Description

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device. The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a left inguinal hernia. It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced infected mesh, pain, mental anguish, disability (unable to participate in employment, recreational, social, and household activities), psychological stress, depression, and loss of enjoyment of life. Post-operative patient treatment included mesh removal, hernia repair, hospitalizations, and additional surgeries.
