Event Description
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system being used for a sacroiliac and thoracolumbar procedure.It was reported that the facilities had difficulties navigation a motorized surgical tool.It was reported that the navigation was intermittent.Replacing tracking spheres on the instrument did not restore functionality as navigation was still intermittent.There was a reported delay to the procedure of less than 1 hour due to this issue.There was no reported impact on patient outcome.
