During a preventative maintenance (pm) service, the getinge field service engineer (fse) discovered the front curved piece on the pim broken off.
The fse determined that the pim was entirely damaged and needed to be replaced.
As such, to fix the issue, the fse replaced the whole pneumatic module assembly, and completed a high and low pressure helium calibration, thereafter.
The fse then completed a full pm, and performed functional and safety checks to meet factory specifications.
The iabp was then released to the customer and cleared for clinical service.
