Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider via a manufacturer representative regarding a patient who was receiving an unknown drug (reported as a combination of 5 drugs, but drug names/concentrations/doses not known) via an implantable pump.It was reported that the patient saw the code 8476 [meaning motor stall] on their ptm (personal therapy manager) device. It was detailed that upon investigation the patient had two motor stalls: one was in (b)(6) 2020 following an mri and had recovered. The patient then also had an mri in (b)(6) (a couple of weeks prior to (b)(6) 2020).The patient saw the code 8476 and then the staff noticed in the logs the pump showed a recovery. It was reportedly thought that the pump had been in telemetry mode as it recovered as soon as the ptm had read the pump per the logs.No patient complications were reported or anticipated.
