Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for non-malignant pain.It was reported that the patient (pt) felt 2 shocks last night.Pt had a back surgery 4 days ago and has to wear external bone growth stimulator for her back.Pt had no falls/no trauma.Pt mentioned she also had neck bone growth stimulator for 2 months before and never had shocks.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.Pt says she does not have a pain management hcp.

Event Description
Additional information was received from the patient and it was received from the patient and it was reported that patient reviewed having back and neck surgeries and is about 3 months into back bone grown stimulator use and about 1 month into neck bone growth stimulator use.Patient has noticed electrical shocking when all 3 devices (2 bone growth 1 scs) are turned on.Patient also noticed this electrical shocking at ins site with ins off but bone growth stimulators on, this only happened after patient started using the bone growth stimulators.Patient has ins turned off.Patient inquired about charging with stim off and the information was reviewed.

Event Description
The patient said the cause of the issue was that they were using a bone graft stimulator to their lower back.The patient was concerned about both devices being on at the same time, but they were assured they could.They received electrical shocks in their back on the left side.The implant was turned off.The patient is now worried the ins is defective so they left it off.The bone growth stimulator probes were also removed.The pt wanted the device checked.The patient had a back surgery that may have resolved the need for the implant, but they were waiting to see.

Additional information was received from the patient and it was reported that they will be meeting with a manufacturing representative (rep) to have her ins checked (b)(6) 2021 and repeated that she thinks her ins was "compromised" by using a bone growth simulator.

Event Description
Patient (calling from registered phone number) mentioned previous documented events regarding the electrical shocks she felt.Patient confirmed she felt the shocks even with her scs turned off.Patient's reason for call was to ask if there is any harm in not charging their ins; patient services specialist reviewed with patient.Patient mentioned they took medication yesterday due to the excruciating pain.Patient's health care provider confirmed their issues aren't related to nerve damage and their x-ray's looked good.The patient questioned if their leads weren't "lined up.".
