Event Description
Physician was attempting to use a mo.Ma ultra carotid balloon embolic protection occluding catheter along with 8 fr sheath during procedure to treat a lesion in the proximal common carotid artery.The lesion was not pre or post dilated.Ifu was followed.During advancement resistance was felt and component was reported damaged.It was reported that during procedure, the balloon pierced itself when it arrived at the top.The procedure will completed at a later date because there was no alternative.Patient status is unknown.
