It was reported that during the attempted implant of this left ventricular lead, a cardiac tamponade was exhibited, secondary to a vessel perforation.The physician alleged no product malfunction as a cause or contributor but rather stated this was likely due to the delicate nature of the patients anatomy.A fluoroscopy confirmed the implant damage and drainage of the tamponade via pericardiocentesis, with extraction of 210 ml of hematic material, was completed.The patient was then transferred to intensive care for surveillance and expected to make a full recovery.The lv lead implant procedure was adorated however expected to be performed at a later date.No return of product is expected.
