Event Description
The manufacturer received information alleging a failure of a ventilator's touchscreen.There was no patient harm or injury.The device has yet to be returned to the manufacturer for evaluation.At this time, we are unable to confirm the alleged malfunction.A follow-up report will be submitted when the manufacturer's investigation is complete.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The manufacturer previously reported a failure of a ventilator's touchscreen.There was no patient harm or injury reported.The device was returned to a third party service center for evaluation and the customer's complaint could not be duplicated.The device operated and alarmed as designed.
