Event Description
|
Information was received from a healthcare provider regarding a patient who was receiving baclofen (100 mcg/ml, 26.
33 mcg/day) and morphine (20 mg/ml, 5.
265 mg/day) via an implantable pump for intractable spasticity.
It was reported that the patient had a pump adjustment yesterday and the patient started having symptoms such as hypotensive dehydration and respiratory distress.
The patient was on a narcan drip currently.
It was noted that the patient does have leukemia.
They wanted to shut the pump off.
Minimum rate mode, loss therapeutic rate, and full system content removal was being considered.
The healthcare provider further stated that they will follow up with the doctor to make further plans.
The doctor was to make an adjustment.
