Event Description
It was reported by the affiliate in (b)(6) that on (b)(6) 2021, the sales rep received a comment from the surgeon because orthocord was a semi-absorbable suture, the fixation strength seemed to be weaker compared to the non-absorbable suture of other companies products.Furthermore, the surgeon also stated that in second-look surgery, the incidence of cysts and non-union seems to be higher than other companies products. It was reported that it seemed that difficult cases such as those for which truespan was used originally have a large tear and high instability, and as time passes, if absorbable suture was used, the fixation strength would decrease, and non-union failure may easily occur. No additional information was provided.
