Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for complex regional pain syndrome type i and spinal pain.It was reported that the patient's ins was not working because they were not getting the expected therapeutic pain relief. They had "done everything" but they were not able to resolve the issue. They wanted to meet with a representative for reprogramming. The patient later called in and noted that a hurricane came through and their pain level was at a 10; they couldn't sleep and their stimulator got damaged during the storm "like everything else" and at that time they didn't need their stimulator because everything on their left side was numb (unrelated to their device/therapy) but now the feeling was coming back.No further complications reported.
