Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was receiving baclofen via an implantable pump for spinal pain.It was reported that about 3 weeks ago the patient had an episode where they became unresponsive like they were in a deep sleep for 8-10 hours. It was noted that the patient did wake up for a bit but then went into a deep sleep again. The caller also stated that they weren't able to walk due to spasticity. The patient was concerned that the pump may have over/under-dosed them.An mri was performed to ensure the patient did not have a stroke. It was noted that the healthcare provider had been decreasing the patient dose and the caller thought maybe they hit a "critical region or something".
