It was reported that during a cryo ablation procedure, while switching to complete right side ablations after successfully completing left side ablations, the patients blood pressure dropped.
It was then observed that the patients right iliac vein had been dissected.
Vascular surgeons were called in and performed a venoplasty followed by implanting a covered stent to close the bleed.
The case was aborted while the patient was under general anesthesia.
The patient remained stable following the case.
No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
