Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient receiving an unknown medication via an implanted pump.The indication for pump use was spinal pain.The patient reported that 3 weeks after the pump was put in the she had to return to the hcp (healthcare provider)/er (emergency room) because she had an infection, a fever, green pus, and the pump had ¿fallen in my gut¿.After the second procedure, the patient was told by the hcp that ¿it was flushed out¿ and she was given antibiotics.
