Event Description

The patient's attorney alleged a deficiency against the device. The product was used for therapeutic treatment of an inguinal hernia. It was reported that after implant, the patient experienced right groin/scrotal pain, neuralgia, fluid collection, inflammation, infection, adhesions, scarring, mesh wrinkling, failure of mesh, scarring, mental pain, pain, permanent impairment, loss of enjoyment of life, defective mesh, and mesh migration. Post-operative patient treatment included nerve block, orchiectomy, nerve resection, hernia repair, mesh intervention surgery, and removed right spermatic cord remnant.
