Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) regarding a patient receiving dilaudid (2.998 mg/day at 10 mg/ml) via implantable pump.It was reported that the patient experienced intermittent relief shortly after pump replacement surgery.A dye and motor study were performed.Healthcare provider (hcp) was able to pull back and was able to pull back yellowish fluid but did not want to push dye to cerebrospinal fluid csf drug discoloration.Motor study was successful.Pump segment of 8709 was replaced with 8578.Patency was confirmed through catheter access port.The event was resolved.
