Event Description
It was reported that during the procedure, the patient experienced an episode of atrial fibrillation (af).Ninety minutes post-implant procedure, the patient experienced a transient ischemic attack (tia).The patient had sudden minimal level of responsiveness with flaccid left hemiplegia; right fixed gaze; conscious level fluctuated, and paralysis persisted.The patient was transferred to the stroke unit.A computerized tomography (ct) scan was performed and medication treatment was administered.The patient fully recovered.The lead remains in use.The patient is a participant in a clinical study.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
