Event Description
It was reported that the customer allowed the pump battery to fully deplete due to not charging the battery and the pump subsequently shut off.Customer experienced an elevated blood glucose (bg) of 666 mg/dl, which resulted in a fall and bruising.The customer attempted to treat their elevated bg via a correction bolus.Customer was admitted to the hospital on (b)(6) 2022.Upon hospital admission, the customer was treated with intravenous fluids of saline and insulin.Tandem technical support made multiple follow up attempts with the customer to obtain additional information, however, no response was received.
