Event Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred. The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in a severely tortuous anterior tibial artery. A 1. 5mm x 20mm x 142cm coyote es balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation. However, during the first inflation at 8 atmospheres for 30 seconds, the balloon ruptured. The device was completely removed and the procedure was completed with a different device. No patient complications nor injuries reported and the patient was in good condition.
